Neprodoor is a trojan affecting all versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system.
As with most trojans, Neprodoor operates silently on infected computers and can download files to the computer as well as stealing private information and sending this to a remote location.
The Neprodoor trojan will copy a file called “reader_s.exe” onto the infected computer. It will place this in the system and user profile folders. The trojan will also add registry entries to enable startup of the program at boot time. If your system is infected, the trojan will search for private user data and send this to a remote location.
Due to the nature of trojans, most users are completely unaware that they are infected. For this reason, it is important to run a regular scan for trojans and other malware. You might be exposing your private data without even knowing it.
