Initfakeav is a trojan affecting all versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system.
When a computer is infected with this trojan it will display false alerts regarding viruses and can also lower the security of the infected computer. This can leave it vulnerable to further attacks and malware infections.
The trojan will copy itself to the init32.exe file and will create various registry entries. Like most trojans it also has the ability to contact remote locations. This could be for the purpose of downloading further malware/backdoors/keyloggers, or it could be for transmitting personal data to the remote location.
Trojans operate in the background usually without the user knowing. Always scan your PC on a regular basis.
