Wincod is a trojan affecting all versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system.
When a computer is infected, this trojan has the ability to display popup boxes and also to modify the infected computer’s settings. Trojans can also download other malware and install malicious programs.
When infected, this trojan will create various registry entries and it will copy itself to certain files in the ProgramFiles\MediaSystem folder. The registry entries will enable the trojan to run at boot time.
If you have recently started receiving strange error boxes and error prompts, then your PC may be infected with this virus and you should run a scan immediately before further damage is done.
