This is a worm affecting all versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system. The worm currently has a few different variants.
This worm spreads by copying itself to removable drives. So once a computer is infected, the worm will copy itself to the various drives available.
On infection, the worm will create several files and registry keys. The purpose of creating the registry keys is to startup the worm’s process at boot time. This can make it harder (or impossible) to kill the process once the PC is booted.
Worms such as this have the ability to open backdoors and download further malicious malware. Always scan your PC on a regular basis.
