The Waledac worm is currently affecting all versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system.
This worm infects computers via attachments in emails. Never open .exe files in emails unless you are 100% sure the email is legitimate. In some instances, the email can appear to be from a known sender, but may still be infected. Some viruses/malware infect a computer and them email all the addresses on that computer.
The worm will create various registry entries to ensure that it starts up during bootup. The worm can also send out private data as well as install other malware onto an infected computer.
